Tyler Cowen is among my favorite bloggers. He has a clipped, almost coarse writing style that belies a geeky sense of humor. Here he is getting angry at all the whingeing iPhone early-adopters who feel like Apple somehow screwed them by dropping the price by $200:

It is you people, you who resent Coase (1972), you people who induce wage and price stickiness and widen the Okun gap. You people, who don’t know what it means to sit back and enjoy your consumer surplus. You beasts!

Good times. Reminds me of joking around at SAIS with the nerdiest of my friends, getting strange looks from those that would pass by within earshot and maybe a chortle from the more economically inclined. Thank god for the internet to reacquaint me with the feeling, like some sort of 21st century petite madeleine…
